Summary:

ICS was recently contacted by an individual who was owed upwards of $60,000 in unpaid child support.  ICS took this individual on as a Client, knowing that for many years efforts were made to hold the Subject accountable but had failed time and time again.  Moreover, government agencies had provided little to no assistance to our Client.  An aggressive investigation was requested to locate the Subject, identify his employer if possible, and search for existing assets. 

ICS devised a plan to conduct a background search on the subject as a starting point, as well as perform an asset search investigation and surveillance at any possible residences for the Subject. In doing so, ICS would be able to help our Client determine a more accurate point of contact for the Subject, as well as their location. Performing an asset search would also allow our Client to establish if the Subject had falsified any information to the courts, or if the Subject was able but unwilling to contribute financially.

Conclusion:

After first conducting a background search, ICS was able to narrow down findings to two possible residences for the subject. Per the Client’s request, a field investigator was sent out to both of the residences in an effort to determine which one the Subject was currently residing. The Client needed proof of Subject’s residence so he/she could obtain the necessary paperwork and have him served at a later date.  Surveillance conducted at one of the residences, resulted in matching an individual to the Subject's description.

The Investigator approached the door, using the pretext that they were looking for someone else. The individual seen earlier answered the door and stated that they must have the wrong address. The individual who answered the door fit the description of the Subject and their name also matched the Subject’s name.  The Investigator then terminated surveillance with confirmation that the Subject did live there.

The client was grateful to ICS for their thorough and quick investigation. ICS was also able to publish the findings of the employment and asset investigation in a manner in which the Client could utilize them in future litigation.
