The Client contacted ICS to speak with a Case Analyst for a free consultation. During this conversation, the Case Analyst recommended an Internet Computer Investigation as a way to prove or disprove the client’s suspicions. This type of cheating decoy investigation can include employing some of the following methods: chat room and instant messaging tracing, checking Internet Service Provider logs, key logging, and searching e-mail history.
In this particular investigation, the client provided ICS with specifics regarding her husband, such as his physical appearance, his activities and habits, and his tastes in women. For 30 days the private investigator spent his time on the Internet, searching, baiting, and waiting to entrap the subject in order to prove he was unfaithful. ICS invested countless hours surfing Internet pornography sites and Web sites that provide anonymous sex for married persons.
Conclusion:
The month-long search proved to be tedious, exhausting and ultimately fruitless for catching the subject. It was more probable that the subject was not engaging in any type of unsavory behavior. The only other method we could have employed would be sending a female to attempt to deliberately entrap him.
