The private investigator industry can be difficult to break into, especially if you do not have law enforcement experience. There are a number of training programs out there specific for private investigations, but will your prospective employer be interested in those credentials? As a private investigator intern, you can get all the training and learn the skills necessary... while getting paid for it!

Are you interested in a career as a private investigator? Are you having trouble getting the right experience and training for this field? Do you want to get paid to learn?

The private investigator internship is a great way to get into the field of private investigations. If you have a good background and possibly some education in criminal justice, this may be the best way to find a job with a private detective agency.

In most states, private investigators need a license in order to perform investigative services. If you have experience in law enforcement or the military, you may have the time and education required to get your license right away. If you do not have this experience, it may become difficult for you to find a job as a private investigator. Most agencies will be looking for experience and/or a current license. How can you get this experience and license before getting a job? The answer is to work as a private investigator intern with a respected detective agency. Get on-the-job training as you gain experience and work towards your own private investigator license.
